Rules of the Dojang

  1. Bow respectfully toward the flags at the front of the room when entering and exiting the training area.
  2. Always bow courteously to instructors and senior students when saying hello and goodbye.
  3. All instructors and senior students are respectfully referred to as Sir or Ma'am.
  4. Always speak and laugh softly.  Do not ever cause a disturbance with your voice.
  5. When sitting down, always sit cross-legged and never lean on the walls or lie on the floors.
  6. Free time before and after class is spent talking quietly or practicing Taekwondo.
  7. Without an instructor's permission, there is never any running.
  8. Jewelry must be taken off before entering practice.
  9. Always call the school when you'll be absent for a week or more and if you'll be arriving late for practice.
  10. Taekwondo is very, very powerful and not for hurting.  Never misuse what you learn.
